Determine the Purpose of Application
As a non-oxidizing bactericidal algicide: The primary purpose is to kill bacteria, algae, and other microorganisms in the water.
As a slime remover: The goal is to remove slime and dirt attached to the surfaces of equipment.
Calculate the Dosage
The required dosage of bactericidal algicide should be calculated based on the volume of the water body and the treatment target.
Dosage is usually expressed as the amount of chemical per cubic meter of water (g/m³) or the concentration per liter of water (mg/L).
Choose the Application Method
Single-dose shock treatment: The calculated amount of bactericidal algicide is uniformly added to the water in a short period.
Continuous dosing: Using metering pumps or other equipment, the bactericidal algicide is continuously and evenly added to the circulating water.
Combine with Other Chemicals
The bactericidal algicide can be combined with other water treatment chemicals (e.g., flocculants, scale inhibitors) to improve overall treatment effectiveness. However, the compatibility of chemicals should be verified.
Monitor Water Quality
During the use of bactericidal algicide, water quality parameters (such as residual chlorine, pH, turbidity, and microbial/algal density) should be monitored regularly. Based on monitoring results, adjust the dosage and application method as needed.
Non-oxidizing Bactericidal Algicide
Typically, the dosage is 50–100 g/m³ or 5–20 mg/L.
In cases of poor water quality or high bacterial/algal concentrations, the dosage may need to be increased.
Slime Remover
The typical dosage is 200–300 g/m³, but this should be adjusted based on the amount of slime and dirt on the equipment surfaces.
When using a slime remover, an appropriate defoamer should be added to prevent excessive foam formation.
Special Cases
If rapid elimination of a large number of bacteria or algae is needed, or if severe slime contamination must be removed, a shock dosing method can be used, with an increased dosage.
When combining with other chemicals, dosage adjustments should be made according to the product instructions and the actual situation.
Safety Protection
Operators should wear protective equipment (such as masks, gloves, and protective clothing) to avoid direct contact of the bactericidal algicide with the skin or eyes.
In case of accidental contact, immediately wash with a large amount of water and seek medical attention.
Storage and Handling
Store the bactericidal algicide in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures.
Ensure the packaging is intact and undamaged to prevent leakage and environmental contamination.
Follow the Instructions
Always carefully read the product's manual, understanding the chemical's performance, application, dosage, methods, and precautions before use.
