Defoamer, also known as antifoam, is a type of chemical additive that reduces and prevents the formation of foam in industrial process liquids.
Defoamers work by breaking down the surface tension of the foam, allowing the air bubbles to disperse. This is done by adding a small amount of a defoamer to the foam.
